Stockport Suspended Ceilings launched with a brand new domain, no reviews, no backlinks and no ad spend. Eleven weeks later it had won six jobs, including a £27,000 ceiling in London and a job that came from someone asking ChatGPT.
Disclosure: Stockport Suspended Ceilings is our founder's own ceiling business. It is where we built and proved this system before selling it to anyone else. Every figure below is sourced, and we would rather show our working than pass a self-test off as a client win.
Eleven weeks after a brand new domain went live, Stockport Suspended Ceilings had won six jobs worth around £45,000, with no advertising spend at any point. Every enquiry came inbound. Below is where each one came from, because the channel matters more than the total.
| Job | How they found us | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial ceiling, south London | Google search, then the instant estimate tool | £27,000 |
| Mansion ceiling, Cheshire | Instant estimate tool | £6,750 |
| Podcast studio, Stockport | Asked ChatGPT, then the website form | £6,300 |
| Commercial fit-out, Cheshire | Organic search | £2,650 |
| Commercial ceiling, Manchester | Phone, answered by the AI receptionist | £2,000 |
| Office retile, Tameside | Phone | £300 |
Client names withheld deliberately. We do not publish our contractors' customers. Values are as recorded in the CRM at the point each job was marked won.
That table is the argument for building the whole system rather than picking one piece off it. The two largest jobs came through the estimate tool, which a contact form would never have captured, because people searching for a price want a price. One came from an AI answer engine, which no amount of advertising can buy. Two came by phone, and one of those never left an email address at any point, so if nobody had answered that call there would have been no second chance.
Take any single component away and real money disappears with it. That is why a contractor who installs a fifth of the system does not get a fifth of the result.
The podcast studio invited five contractors to quote. Ours won it, and he was not the cheapest. That is worth being precise about, because it cuts both ways.
Our system put him in the room. Everything after that, the survey, the pricing, the way the quote explained the job, turning up when he said he would, was him. He has been in the trade since 1992 and it shows. We can get a contractor invited to quote. We cannot make him win it, and any agency telling you otherwise is selling you something it does not control.
Which is why what we guarantee is enquiries, never jobs.
This isn't a polished pitch deck comparison. This is live data from Google's own AI Overview index in June 2026.

"Grounded" means Google AI is actively using that site's content to construct AI Overview answers. Position = rank in the AI Overview citation pool. Data: AIO CSV export, June 2026.
I built this system on my own business first because I wasn't going to sell something I hadn't proven. Week 1, AI booked the first job. Week 3, we're above Checkatrade on Google AI. I've been in this trade 33 years and I've never seen anything move this fast.
SSC is our own business. We built the system, proved it works, and now we install it for other contractors across the UK. Same system. Different trade. Same results.
